THE CONSORTIUM
The
Consortium for the Advancement of Haiti (COADHA) is a 501-C3 sponsored non-profit organization based in the US, which was created in 2003
as a response to the need in Haiti and the Haitian Diaspora for a
more efficiently managed and more resulted-oriented class of Haitian
NGOs.
The Consortium comprises a mixture of dedicated Haitian
and International professionals and experts who possess extensive
business and humanitarian experience, as well as a strong understanding
of the development challenges in Haiti. These COADHA professionals
and experts routinely meet with their international and local partners
at various sites throughout the U.S. and Haiti in an effort to ascertain
the most accurate information concerning Haiti’s needs, and to develop
the most comprehensive, effective and efficient strategy possible
that would meet those needs.
We seek to assist
in the development of a civic-minded Haitian citizenry who are equipped
with the necessary tools to effectively contribute to the realization
of sustainable efforts that will lead to the socio-economic development
of Haiti.
OUR MISSION
COADHA’s mission is to assist the
Haitian people in the strengthening and building of public and private
institutions that would address the needs of the nation. Through
its diverse networks inside and outside of Haiti, COADHA offers itsendless dedication, technical expertise, and experience in various
professional disciplines. Through a community-based participatory
approach, the consortium offers innovative and contextually relevant
solutions to the many challenges faced by Haitians throughout Haiti.
